my muscles hurt in ways i never imagined they would. i saw an informercial on tracy anderson's method workouts (during one of my episodes of insomnia) and was intrigued by the, well, method. i've never really been one to try these crazy workouts except for p90x. although, it was more like p7x for me. anyway, i knew buying through the informercial would cost me more than i'd like to spend on something i might just end up watching with a bag of chips instead of actually working out with, so i hunted the interwebs for a more reasonable price but found i'm still unwilling to pay $30 for one dvd. what does a frugal gal do? check youtube for free videos! ding ding ding!
and 50 minutes later, i'm sitting here barely able to move my arms to type. it was tough, especially for someone who's gotten used to coming home from work and plopping on the couch until dinner is served. tough for sure but i really liked it. there's no annoying "keep it up! you can do it! wake that body up! push, push, push!" it reminded me of a pilates instructor i once had who just did the workout with you and sprinkled just a little bit of encouragement here and there. maybe other people like to get yelled at and told that the harder they push the better results they'll see. well, duh, of course that's what will happen if you push yourself. let me make my own choices, ok dvd?
i'm looking forward to being able to go through each of the sets without stopping so much and taking the pain and loving it. now it's off to get some popeye's chicken and cajun fries!
just kidding, tracy anderson! no fries tonight!
